November rain

November rain

In pouring rain
come November
we were playful kids
drenched in muddy fields
little friendly faces
kept us in cheerful company
in season of togetherness

We have grown to smile at life's pose
the graciousness of true love
in pouring late November rains
we abide passionately
its season of endless memories

Gadis Bertelekung

Gadis Bertelekung

Aku terpikat
pada wajah seorang gadis
bertelekung
Mengajak daku
memanjat doa
di ruang restu Illahi
Ia bicara suara jiwa lesu
pada perjalanan resah beribu
episod sunyi sepi hidup ini
Telah kau janji temukan
di senja Bintulu
berkampung rindu
bayu membelai manisnya
sebuah lukisan kesayangan
kan kuabadikan ke akhir hayat
Maka aku nyanyikan lagu hujan
membasahi hati yang tandus cinta
semarak riang keanak-anakan
dan tawa buat seketika
kini kumengerti bibit-bibit
dua insan yang Engkau ilhamkan
asyik menanam budi di laman hati
Ya Allah, jadikanlah satu mimpi
Ia ratu di akhirat nanti.

My White Queen

My White Queen

You hopped into my life
Un-alerted to move my being
You showered me a love so pure
That I could only imagine.
My great queen you are born to fly
And spread more magical wonders
Like such a passing time in my life
I thank God I'm alive.
I shall now let you go
For you deserve the sunshine more.

Love

Love is a burst of joy
A moment when two hearts
Feel so close together
Entranced in laughter
Wrapped in deep gratification
Satisfaction and feelings
Embraced in the oneness
And rhythmic song of joy.

Hasyimah

While reading the philosophy of history
my eyes went free
the words kept disappearing
the paragraphs did not speak to me
just the hovering calling of a memory.

Suddenly, it was her
my mind wandered over
how untimely she came
out of the blank pages
out of a wandering mind.
She was about to whisper
when past moments
fast forward scrolled
of times walking her
back to her dorm
past the library hours
of sharing notes and laughter
those seemingly short hours
of longing and loving her.

But I fear of unreality
fear that my strongest hope
is but a figment of a frail mind
fear that my wanting her
will not meet the light of day.

The question; "What motivates men?"
plucked a thunder in my consciousness
and awakened me
to read dry history.

How forward could imagination bring
into the passionate then
fearful crevices of the mind
and out into the present realities
of now and what now?

Dark Nights

When the roads were wet
I would be on my way
Past lonely streets
The dark road ahead

Destined to her place
My single mind had said
To keep her in company
Whenever raindrops fell

We talked sweet nothings
Till the early morn
All those inhibitions and taboos claimed
Were now passive in our hands

O, dark nights,
You held our secrets
The pulsating of our hearts
In your darkness thundered

Our love blindness
You tenderly saw
Under your black clouds
Were mysteries we sought
Treasured were memories spent together
The courage in loneliness
And the meaning in silence

The early hours of dawn
Drew us a while
And those car splashes reminded me too
Blurry neon lights I left behind
But dark nights were always in my mind.

Gazes and Glances

Gazes she threw
made my feelings anew
of days and times
spent in the early morning dew.

Her glances paints
a romance story
of desires and loving her
of smiles so wide
and feelings tender
a heavenly beauty
so perfect and rare
has humbled
this believing heart.

Her sparkling eyes
has moved my soul
fantasies and flights of imagination
of moments when a wink
has beckoned this lonely heart
and melted a treasured memory.

Gazes and glances
casts of gold
brown eyes and sweet smiles
a timeless spell behold.

AYU

AYU - the painting
AYU - the poem

Dalam kejemuan membalik-balik
lembaran hidupku
terasa jejari lembutmu
menyentuh tanganku
lalu tampak raut senyummu
suatu misteri
yang menyentuh
jiwa halus dan
terangsang ini.

Kau bebayang asyik kupandang
dan setiap kali ilham menggoda
akan kutempuhi keujudanmu
jua kubilang kehadiranmu
Kerana tahu
panggilan lirik wajahmu
cuma tiba di pekan kesedaran
kata-kata janji manismu.

Kini kita bicara
pada suatu momen manis
seribu keindahan
yang mendesak penjelasan
pada fikiran yang memendam
rasa cinta buatmu.

Selagi aku menggapai
erti senyummu itu
akan kukejar ke sudut waktu
rela kutunggui kehadiranmu
walau sesaat mendetik datang
pada jiwa ini
ia sepanjang musim kebahagian.

A Lovers' Walk

as we walked through
the field of flowers'
bright, yellow and red blossoms
we felt the wind
that washes our soul
purifies our entwined hearts,
and quickly left us alone
deep in nature's embrace.

At once we felt nature,
our great Mother,
how lovely, how caring
how free and understanding

to us
wrapped up in
that first embrace;
to remain
but ourselves.

we spoke
tirelessly and helplessly
in the arms of plain love.
we enfolded our arms
in wild desires
but feeling the softness
and gratitude of true love.

I smelt her brown hair,
touched it with my eager lips
and she rushed her hot , red cheeks
over my face
my ears
my neck.
We were then lost,
lost in oneness.

How blissful,erotic
how exotic, sensitive
she was.

We strolled again,
amidst the flowers
in the drizzly rain.
our hearts were soaked into one
as we held each others' hands
arms and waists
and walked unmindful
across the fields.

we felt no pain
only hope
that such a beautiful moment
come
and never end.
